RV Roof Repair & Replacement

EPDM, TPO, and fiberglass roof repairs, resealing, and full tear-off replacements for coaches and fifth wheels.

What this service covers

A complete approach to the repair

Florida sun and afternoon storms are hard on RV roofs. UV exposure chalks and shrinks EPDM membranes, TPO seams open up at the front and rear caps, and fiberglass roofs develop stress cracks around vents and antennas where the substrate flexes. We inspect the full roof membrane, all penetrations, and the seams where the roof meets the sidewalls before recommending anything, because a small membrane tear treated early is a very different job than one that has been letting water into the decking for two seasons.

Repairs range from cutting out and patching a section of membrane to stripping and reapplying Dicor self-leveling lap sealant around every vent, skylight, and AC curb. When a roof has gone past patching, usually from years of dried-out sealant and hidden water intrusion into the plywood or foam decking below, we do a full tear-off and replacement with new membrane, decking as needed, and all new hardware and sealant.

Because roof problems are almost always a water intrusion problem first and a cosmetic problem second, we probe the decking for soft spots and check the interior ceiling and upper cabinets for staining before quoting the job. We would rather tell you a repair will not hold than sell you a patch on a roof that needs to come off.

Signs you may need this service

Chalky white residue that rubs off on your hand when you touch the roof

Soft or spongy spots when you walk the roof (with proper footing and care)

Cracked or peeling sealant around vents, skylights, or the AC unit

Water stains on interior ceiling panels or around cabinets near the roofline

Visible seam separation at the front cap, rear cap, or sidewall transition

A musty smell inside the coach that gets worse in humid weather

How we handle it

  1. 1

    Full roof inspection

We walk the entire roof, check every penetration, and probe decking for soft spots or delamination before writing an estimate.

  2. 2

    Interior moisture check

We check ceiling panels, upper cabinets, and wall corners near the roofline for staining that points to hidden intrusion.

  3. 3

    Repair or tear-off

Depending on findings, we patch and reseal the membrane or perform a full tear-off with new decking and membrane.

  4. 4

    Reseal all penetrations

Every vent, antenna base, skylight, and AC curb gets fresh Dicor sealant and new hardware where needed.

Mobile or in-shop

Sealant touch-ups, small membrane patches, and inspections can be done at your location if the coach is parked on reasonably level, accessible ground. Full tear-off and replacement jobs are done in our Bushnell shop bay where we have controlled conditions and the equipment to handle decking replacement properly.
