Major Structural Repair & Rebuilds

Frame, wall, and structural rebuilds for RVs with significant water damage, collision damage, or sidewall rot.

What this service covers

A complete approach to the repair

Some damage goes beyond patching, whether from long-term water intrusion that has rotted wall studs and floor framing, a collision or road debris impact, or a slide room that has flexed enough to crack the surrounding structure. These jobs involve opening up walls, floors, or the roof structure down to the frame, assessing what remains sound, and rebuilding with materials and fastening methods appropriate to the coach's original construction, whether that is wood-framed, aluminum-framed, or a composite laminated wall system.

We evaluate structural repairs honestly, including telling an owner when the cost of a proper rebuild is approaching or exceeding what makes sense against the value of the coach, since a structural rebuild is a significant investment and we would rather have that conversation upfront than after work has started. When a rebuild does make sense, we sequence the work carefully, addressing framing and structural integrity first, then moisture barriers and insulation, then the finished wall, floor, or roof surface.

This category also covers repairs after a collision or falling tree limb, where impact damage to the frame or wall structure needs correction before any cosmetic work is worthwhile, since cosmetic repairs over an unaddressed structural issue will not hold.

Signs you may need this service

Visible wall or floor sagging beyond typical wear

Soft or rotted framing discovered during another repair

Collision or impact damage affecting the wall or frame structure

Cracking around slide openings extending into the surrounding wall

A coach that feels structurally loose or flexes noticeably when driven

Widespread delamination or water damage across multiple wall sections

How we handle it

  1. 1

    Full structural assessment

We open affected areas to inspect framing, wall structure, and connection points to determine the true scope of the repair.

  2. 2

    Honest scope and cost discussion

We walk through what a proper repair requires and give an honest assessment of whether it makes sense relative to the coach's condition and value.

  3. 3

    Rebuild framing and structure

We rebuild damaged framing or structural panels using materials and methods matched to the original construction type.

  4. 4

    Restore moisture barrier and finish

We reinstall insulation, moisture barriers, and finished surfaces, sealing the rebuilt section against future intrusion.

Mobile or in-shop

Structural rebuilds require the equipment, space, and controlled conditions of our Bushnell shop bay and are not suited to mobile service given the scope of framing and structural work involved.

Questions we get

We look at how extensive the damage is and give you an honest estimate, so you can weigh the repair cost against the coach's value and your plans for it before committing.
