RV Inspections & Pre-Purchase Evaluations

Pre-purchase inspections and general condition evaluations covering roof, slides, plumbing, electrical, and structure.

What this service covers

A complete approach to the repair

Buying a used motorhome or fifth wheel, especially a luxury unit, without an independent inspection means relying entirely on the seller's and dealer's word for the condition of systems that are expensive to repair once you own them. We inspect the roof membrane and seams, slide-out operation and seals, electrical and 12V/120V systems, plumbing and tank condition, appliance function, and check for signs of water intrusion or delamination in walls and floors, since these are the areas that most often hide expensive problems on a coach that otherwise looks clean.

We check moisture readings at common intrusion points, cycle the slides and leveling system, test the generator and AC under load where possible, and inspect the underbelly and structural areas visible without disassembly. We document what we find plainly, including both problems and systems that check out fine, so you have a clear picture to negotiate with or walk away from before money changes hands.

We also do general condition evaluations for owners who are not buying or selling but want an honest baseline on their coach's condition, particularly before a long trip or after purchasing sight unseen, since catching a developing issue early is almost always cheaper than waiting for it to become a failure on the road.

Signs you may need this service

Considering a used motorhome or fifth wheel purchase, especially long-distance or online

Seller or dealer disclosures feel incomplete or vague about system condition

Buying a coach that has been in storage for an extended period

Want a baseline condition report before a major trip

Purchased a coach recently without an independent inspection

Noticing minor issues and wanting to know if they point to something larger

How we handle it

  1. 1

    Exterior and roof inspection

We inspect the roof membrane, seams, sidewalls, and exterior for signs of damage, delamination, or prior repair.

  2. 2

    Systems function testing

We cycle slides and leveling jacks, test electrical circuits, plumbing, appliances, and run the generator and AC under load where possible.

  3. 3

    Moisture and structural check

We check moisture levels at common intrusion points and inspect visible structural areas for soft spots or prior damage.

  4. 4

    Documented findings report

We provide a clear written summary of what we found, including both concerns and systems that checked out fine.

Mobile or in-shop

Inspections are performed wherever the coach is located, whether that is a dealer lot, private seller's property, or storage yard, since the inspection needs to happen in the coach's current condition and location.

Questions we get

We primarily serve Central Florida including Ocala, The Villages, Tampa Bay, and Orlando, so if the coach is within that general service area we can typically accommodate an inspection; reach out with the location and we will let you know.
